Preservation Week is sponsored by the American Library Association and inspires actions to preserve personal, family and community collections as well as collections in libraries, museums and archives.
In celebration of Preservation Week the Lake Wales Public Library will host our Basic Book Repair Class. The class begins at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 25.
The 90-minute class will cover – repairing and replacing torn pages, tightening book spines and a book craft will be included.
This class is free, is but limited to 10 people. Registration is required. Registered participants should bring one personal example of a book in need of repair.

Basic Book Repair is a 2017 Lake Wales Centennial Program, celebrating 100 years of Lake Wales’ Heritage and is made possible through a grant from the Florida’s Natural Growers Foundation.
